A tale without time

Stories of ancient families, stories of wine.

A family winery with centuries-old winemaking tradition.

Azienda Agricola Franchini was born in Negrar di Valpolicella, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica.

In the small Corte Forlago, the Franchini family has been carrying on its wine-making tradition for generations.

Giuliano Franchini restored the historical family farmhouse with passion, where today the small winery is located.

The most ancient part of the winery dates back to 1460 and hosts the barrel room, a clear testimony of the ancient past of the area. In the silence our wines rest and age in French and American oak barrels.

Inside Corte Forlago an ancient icehouse is hidden beneath the entrance floor. Nowadays the old icehouse is used as a special aging room dedicated to the most historical wines of the Franchini family.

The icehouse, focal point of the whole structure, is steeped in centuries of history.

These valuable bottles are resting in darkness and silence, developing thanks to the magic of time, improving and evolving each passing day.
